How listings are vetted
Google files fence builders, landscapers, handymen and pet fence dealers under the same category. We kept the businesses that install or repair fences and set aside the ones whose own websites show no fence work, along with electronic pet containment dealers and temporary fence rental yards.
"Installs fences: Yes" on a listing means the business's own website says it builds fences. Listings without that mark are still shown, after the confirmed installers, because a missing website is not proof that a company doesn't do the work.
Right now that is 448 fence contractors in 54 North Carolina cities, last refreshed 2026-10-30.
Owners can claim their listing for free. Every claim is checked by a person: a real local business, a matching email domain or a call to the number on the Google listing. Paid placements are marked as featured, premium or best-of wherever they appear.
Corrections and removals
If a listing is wrong, or you want your business removed, tell us. We answer within a week and rebuild the directory with the change.
